Yep, that’s me with Adam Pascal!

Last week was a great one, and to be frank, I just wasn’t in the mood to update the blog at all. Sometimes life is too busy or I’m enjoying my downtime too much. But what does that mean now? Tons of pictures, that’s what. Here’s a photo recap of last week, since it was such a fabulous one.

The Importance of Taste

The importance of taste, savoring a delicous whole foods diet

Just one of our decadent breakfasts this week

We Eat So Well

…and I want to talk about it.

After three or four days of consuming whatever the heck we fancied in Crested Butte—including an assortment of things we don’t usually eat, like ice cream and a bucket of fried chicken—it’s been nice to return to our whole foods-centric lifestyle.

One of my favorite things (there are many) about Nick is his passion for making delicious meals from whole, organic, and nutritious ingredients. He’s really made a believer out of me.

An Easy Guide

I think I’ve entered the world of at least intermediate runner status, and I want to share how I was able to (finally) run a half marathon under 2 hours (it took me 5 tries).

The key is to incorporate around 2 workouts a week that focus entirely on intervals. Here I made an easy-to-use graphic on a quick 24-minute treadmill workout that bumped my average pace from around a 12:00 mile to a 9:00 mile.

*It’s also broken down by time, because I know trying to do ANY math while running is just EVIL. You’re welcome!

Daily Diet: What I Eat in a Day

Daily diet, what I eat in a day, maintaining weight loss, reverse dieting, intuitive eating.png

Looking to Maintain

After some weird weeks and a significant decrease in my running mileage, I was worried I might gain weight this month (maintaining a 30-pound weight loss is still relatively new territory for me). I also have been careful not to restrict myself too much, as I’ve been reading about Reverse Dieting and making sure my metabolism is running strong.

Anyway, this Daily Diet reflects a typical workday of eating real foods and enjoying every bite. Also: I have maintained this month and hope to get back to running lots of miles consistently soon.
