Thank Goodness it’s Friday!
It’s been a long week, but Nick is back in town from his epic kayaking adventure and I open Hello, Dolly! tonight. Fun stuff!
Here are this week’s outfits.

This is going to sound weird and ridiculous, but it’s true. This Monday evening, when Nick and I were walking Harper before I had to head to rehearsal, we saw in our back alley that our dumpster was filled with stacks and stacks of clothes…
I thought I’d include my workouts in the weekly outfit breakdowns this time around.
Enjoy and Happy Friday!
For the return of my Outfits of the Week series, we have a lot of oldies but goodies… as well as mustard, navy, black, and gray. The week started out feeling like Spring, and ended with snow. That’s Colorado for ya. When Spring is in full swing, I don’t feel like I have much to work with.
However… there will be a new Stitch Fix post soon! Stay tuned!
Now, for this week’s looks:
I’ve been terrible at doing Outfits of the Week posts! My last one was in August? Geez.
Do you guys want me to keep doing these updates, or do you prefer other types of posts—and if so, let me know which kind in the comments section!
When it comes to Stitch Fix, I learned early on that it might not be totally worth it to use the service unless you downright hate shopping or have no time to invest in your wardrobe. The clothing can be pricey and not any better quality than your average store.
BUT it’s definitely worth it if your items are FREE. Let me show you how I do it.
Things are getting serious with my schedule as we approach the last few weeks of Grease rehearsals before opening. I’m doing my best to take each day in stride, and to not let the future overwhelm me.
It may sound silly or trite, but sometimes focusing on how I can look my best and do my best (with work, running, eating healthy, performing) each day gets me to stop trying to figure it all out. I’m focusing on each day as it comes, with all my energy.
This past Saturday, I left for rehearsal early to stop by Good Will for a super-cheap throwaway top—something I could run in for the first few chilly miles of the Colfax Half Marathon before warming up and tossing it.
I found something great for $3, with tons of time to spare! So I stopped by Old Navy, after hearing they had great sales on workout gear. Here’s what I found!
When you’ve got a full day of work followed by 4 hours of music rehearsal for a musical theater production (on the other side of town, mind you), you decide to keep things casual.
Today is my first day into the workweek/rehearsal scheduling combo, and I’ve been determined to set myself up for success, in clothing and with my pre-packed snacks.
I recently had a come-to-Jesus moment when I realized the 3 sports bras I own were hand-me-downs from 15 years ago. Don’t judge! There were holes and sweat stains and… yeah, so that’s too much honesty.
I was on a mission to upgrade on a budget. You might be surprised where I found these super-inexpensive-yet-still-stylish workout clothes.
