So far, I’ve gotten pretty darn close to checking all of the 12 Things to Look Forward to This Summer boxes: frozen drinks and a pool visit, eating outdoors, summer attireexploring new places, spotting cute animals, and getting summer hours!

With 25 hours of rehearsal per week , 10 of which are on weekends, it’s been hard to truly enjoy the season. But this Sunday we didn’t have rehearsal, thanks to Father’s Day, and the result was the absolute perfect day!

KEEPIN’ RIGHT AT IT

It’s been a week and a half since my PR at the Colfax Half Marathon, and while other big races were followed by weeks [or months… or in some cases, years] of slacking off, I have no intentions of slowing down.

I took two days off after the half, but then I jumped straight back into running regularly. I am in love with it lately and am running for much better reasons these days.

I’ve also been indulging in delicious foods, doing fun things, apartmenting-hunting, and looking forward to a Memorial Day getaway!

Happy Monday, loves!

It’s less than 2 weeks until the Colfax Half Marathon. I’ve been running a lot of miles. To give you an idea of how much my training has escalated, my mileage goal for the month of January was 38 miles. My mileage goal for April was 60… and I ended up running 78.

78 effing miles, folks. Do you know what that means?

It means I’m hungry—ravenous. So let’s feast our eyes on this food porn together.

After a tiring week and a 3.4-mile run on Friday that included my fastest mile ever, I was ready to take a bath, relax, and eat some delicious homemade pizza. (Yes, again.)

We made not one but two divinely delicious (and competitive) pizzas, each improvised with various toppings found in the fridge. Each pie was distinctly different from the other, but both were insanely scrumptious. See which won!
