But first: I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on The Real Life! I love my job, but work demands a lot of my energy. Blogging is a little too similar to my job sometimes, and as my goals and responsibilities grow at work I’ve felt like the last thing I want to do is more posting. Sorry, guys! I’ve also been prioritizing my mental health and listening to my inner guidance system. When blogging stopped being fun and turned into an obligation (and a way for me to impose perfectionism onto myself) I knew I needed to take a break.
Speaking of breaks… I’m so excited to share a recap of our lovely Spring Break vacation to La Jolla! The Man booked this trip for my 31st birthday, and it was worth the wait.
Hi, friends! It’s been a while. Whoops! For the past month or so, I’ve been working on another exciting Web project and thus, The Real Life has taken the back seat recently.
But I’m hoping to keep updating you all (hi, Mom!) on the fun little goings-on in our life, especially when it comes to Harper-pupdates, who is by far the most fun thing to see on this blog. 😉 Am I right?
This year, Nick and I spent 5 days in Florida with the whole family for Christmas. It’s always nice to take a break in the sunshine state, and this trip was no exception. There was a lot of togetherness, early morning runs, and excessive eating.
Over the week of Thanksgiving, the man and I traveled to Pennsylvania to visit his parents, explore his hometown of Swarthmore just outside of Philly, and celebrate with not one but two Turkey Day Feasts!
Day 3 of my visit to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, started off like the rest: early morning on the couch with Mama, sipping hot coffee. Then my best friend Emily invited me to see President Obama speak at UNF, and I said yes, duh.
