Yep, that’s me with Adam Pascal!
Last week was a great one, and to be frank, I just wasn’t in the mood to update the blog at all. Sometimes life is too busy or I’m enjoying my downtime too much. But what does that mean now? Tons of pictures, that’s what. Here’s a photo recap of last week, since it was such a fabulous one.

It went back and forth between snowy and cold, and sunny and Spring-like. Typical Colorado!
- Sweater, Target
- Green skinnies, Gap
- Brown riding boots, DSW
For our morning snacks this week, I invented a new thing: plain Siggi’s Greek yogurt with a mashed banana + peanut butter. So much protein and way better than just plain Siggi’s, which can be a little sour sometimes. I also cleaned and organized my desk for the week, which was a nice pick-me-up.
We enjoyed a delicious green curry with quinoa, veggies, and tofu this week for our lunches. The Man makes the best food.
Monday night we hit the gym at the Wash Park Rec Center! I did 2-5-1 intervals on the treadmill while Nick lifted in the weight room.
Walking out, we enjoyed another fiery sunset. There’ve been a handful of these lately. You won’t see me complaining.
Remember the food prep we did on the previous Sunday? Here, The Man put to good use those carrots, sweet potatoes, and parsnips: on a salad with goat cheese and balsamic dressing, and of course, bread + butter. In summary, Monday was spot on.

Tuesday was one of those mornings where I changed my outfit about 800 times. Oh well. This is what I settled on:
- Blue blouse, Kohl’s
- Salmon-colored cardigan, Target
- Skinny jeans, Gap
- Navy suede boots, Target
I’ve been doing my 15-minute vocal warmups diligently in the mornings. The only days I’ve missed have been Saturdays… for some reason, practicing on a Saturday has proven difficult. But 6 out of 7 days a week is an improvement over zero, so. (You can see how cold I was that morning. Look at those goosebumps.)
Inspired by the large impact a clean and organized desk made on Monday’s productivity, I spruced up my office even more on Tuesday. I got three succulents from Home Depot (named Rosie, Bruce, and Boris, of course), and also brought one of our bedside tables in. It’s been misplaced since we consolidated all our furniture, and my vanity serves as my bedside table now. I love it here in this corner of my office!
That wall needs something. Hmmm…
I’m loving this view from my desk!
All that hard work calls for a tortilla + Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter. Yum.
Tuesday night, Nick and I did a 4.5-mile easy run around the park. It was beautiful! We ended the night with this delicious pasta dish and more Harry Potter bingeing. I am in love with tomatoes lately… I used to hate them in my teens, so it’s like I’m making up for lost time.

Wednesday Harper was attached at my hip, seriously! She was snuggly and needy, so I indulged her, of course. Here she’s watching me as I do my hair and makeup for the day.
Hi, sleepyhead!
Anyway, my outfit breakdown:
- Floral top, Stitch Fix (+ a navy tank from H&M underneath)
- Dark-wash skinnies, Gap
- Beige booties, Target
While I didn’t have any BS meetings, I still thoroughly enjoyed this new addition to our office kitchen. Ha!
Wednesday night, a coworker friend invited me to take a client out to Something Rotten! at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Oh my goodness, it was so hilarious. And 15 years after seeing him in the original role of Radames in Aida on Broadway, I got to see him on stage again as my all-time favorite, Shakespeare!
Fun note: The guy with the beard standing up on the left works with Inspire Creative.
So yeah… I got to meet him outside the stage door as we were leaving. I could barely mumble out “you were amazing.” So much for being cool.

I stayed out way past my bedtime on Wednesday night… to be honest, I was so pumped full of adrenaline when I got home that I could not slow down or go to sleep. Poor Nick! I just kept talking all about the show and wanting to do more theater and how cool it was to meet Mr. Pascal!
Outfit:
- Striped top, Gap
- Skinnies, Gap
- Brown boots, DSW
- Eyeliner-smudge on mirror: priceless
I had hoped to go for another run Thursday night, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Instead, I enjoyed some down time and fell asleep early… I think. I don’t even remember!

Nick made a special Friday breakfast frittata, which was divine.
Another blurry outfit photo. This time we have almost an entire Stitch Fix outfit! These teal corduroys and this sweater are two of my favorite keeps. The brown booties are from DSW, of course. Also: the eyeliner smudge lives to see another day! Spoiler alert: And a few more, too…
Friday night we also lay low, in preparation for our Saturday morning long run. More on that later. Thanks for being patient with me lately!
I love that mug!!
