It’s been a great week, albeit a little too warm for mid-October. Here’s to a weekend with equal parts adventure and relaxation! But first: outfits and some extra fun snapshots of the week!

Monday was on the chillier side… or at least I wanted to believe it was! After work I headed to a new voice lesson to help me with my audition book. I wasn’t expecting to learn so much breath support technique in that first lesson… it’s really been eye-opening!
- Sleeveless button-up blouse, H&M
- Cardigan, Forever 21
- Dark skinny jeans, Gap
- Brown booties, DSW

This little number should be an eye-roller by now! I wear it a lot, and I’ve had the dress for, like, 10 years. Whatevaaaaaa.
- Dress, Ross
- Denim vest, Nordstrom Rack
On Tuesday I also got my flapper costume for a Speakeasy-themed Halloween party we’re going to next weekend. I ordered it from Amazon, and it fits like a glove! Tuesday night we went for a 4.5-mile run, too. Boom.

Thursday the editorial team of Mountain Living and Colorado Homes & Lifestyles went on an art safari around the creative district and downtown Denver! But first, we met up at Sassafras for a delectable brunch (second breakfast for me!):
We just had to split some beignets!
I got the Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict, which did not disappoint. I was full for the next five hours! The only other time I’d been to Sassafras was after a 9-mile run with Nick over a year ago, and it was just as good as I remembered.
After brunch, we headed to numerous art galleries around town: Walker Fine Art, William Havu Gallery, Goodwin Fine Art, David Cook Fine Art, David B. Smith Gallery, Robischon Art Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. We finished with a coffee at the MCA rooftop bar. My job is not too shabby, you guys.
Here are a few photos of our “safari.”
Yes, that’s a Pez Dispenser collection… and just a small section of it!
This installation was inspired after the artist visited Rome… all the selfie sticks!
I had the bright idea to take a selfie in the selfie sticks. So basic.
Then we decided to get really dorky and take a thousand levels of selfies. Birds of a feather! Sorry for this photo, Michelle. 🙂
Thursday night, I did intervals on the treadmill at the gym, which Nick did some speed work around the park. It was tough and I really didn’t want to do it, but it felt so good to power through that slump and feel better afterward.

Thank Goodness it’s Friday! It’s been such a great week, but I’m still excited for the weekend. 🙂 Tonight we’re taking Harper to a Paw School class; tomorrow we’ve got a long run scheduled and a Halloween Movie Watching Party; and Sunday leaves room for improvisation!
- T shirt, Target
- leggings, Aerie (dumpster find)
- Nike sneaks, DSW (becoming a Friday tradition)
What’s on your weekend agenda?
