Anyway, it’s a happy day! It’s Friday, and it’s the spooky Friday the 13th (in October, no less!), and Nick and I booked our wedding venue and have a date! Weeeee!

It snowed on Monday (remember?), and I was happy to break out the boots and a sweater, my favorite combo. I am an insightful, deeply complex person sometimes… and other times I am the most basic b. Keeps you on your toes.

I got back to the gym on Monday night, which was so refreshing! I didn’t want to push it too hard because I’m still on the tail end of this dumb bug, so I ran 3 easy miles.

On Wednesday, I was feeling bleh so decided to work form home. My outfit consisted of yoga pants, a sports bra, and a running tank (it got significantly warmer). I’ve had a stitch in my side that’s made me wonder if I was dying all the WebMD diseases, so I went to the doctor to make sure I wasn’t a fatal case. She said it’s most likely a pulled muscle from coughing, and that I should be fine to run and workout, as long as I stay aware of the pain getting worse. That really was a relief. I’ve been dying to get back into a running momentum! That night I did 2 easy miles on the treadmill.

This was also the anniversary of the passing of my beloved, 15-year-old, stinky and cranky cat Rico Suave. I still miss his smelly, dumb self. He was a good kitty. Hope you’re enjoying tons of canned wet food and fresh deli turkey in kitty heaven, Reek!

On Thursday, we booked our wedding/reception venue: The Montclair Civic Building in Denver’s Montclair Park, for September 22, 2018! Above is a wedding photo there, by Kate Merril Photography (see the rest here). It’ll be a small, intimate wedding with dynamite food, drinks, and friends. I love the wrap-around decks. If you look at those wedding details, we’ll be doing a lot differently, but you can get an idea of the space!

I’m really excited to get creative with the space and with doing the details on a budget… we want to throw a beautiful and fun dinner party, and we also want to save for a house. I’ll keep you updated as details come to life!

What does the weekend have in store? Relaxation, just N-and-V time, hanging with friends, and a long trail run! I’m thinking of registering for the Moab Red Hot 33k (20 miles) in February. It’ll give me a nice goal to work toward as I get back into running post-sickness. Fun!
