Outfits of the Week

Friday

TGIF!

Happy Friday, everyone! Another week is coming to a close, which means another installment of Outfits of the Week… although, if it were up to me, I’d have worn yoga pants and sports tops all week (and I did, to rehearsals) because I am le tired.

This next week is going to be a doozy: Nick will be in Moab for a guys’ trip, I’ll be working and taking care of the pup, and it’s tech week for my show. I’m going to need a lot of mental and physical stamina, and a lot of support from you!

Monday of this week feels like a month ago!

I’ve been revisiting Outfits of the Week posts of the weeks, months, and years past to get ideas for “new” outfits that cost zero dollars. In June of 2016, I was able to revamp this leopard-print dress that I got when I was 30 pounds heavier. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the black sash that cinched the waist (like in the photo below), so it looks a tad baggy. Womp womp. Oh well!

  • wedges, hand-me-downs

Wednesday is when I decided to start experimenting with using my nice camera for outfit photos… although it’s clunky and hard to get right. (Let me know what you think, if you can!)

Hi, again!

On Thursday evening, after I got home from work, a handful of us Hello, Dolly! principals went to the Englewood CityCenter Amphitheater to sing a preview to promote the show. Then we did a run-through of Act 2. (For rehearsal, I changed into my signature workout-gear-plus-character-shoes that I’ve become known for.)

  • black dress, Target
  • Kenneth Cold wedges again

This outfit was also inspired (aka copied) from my June 24, 2016 Outfits of the Week post. This photo was actually one of my many outtakes, but then I realized that the expression on my face is quite priceless.

  • green skinny jeans, Gap
  • royal blue blouse, Kohl’s
  • beige booties, Target
  • statement necklace, Walmart

Tomorrow is Bloody Saturday for Hello, Dolly! and then next week is tech (“hell”) week, so I’m really looking forward to this Sunday where I literally have not one thing on my schedule. What shall I do with it?!

Question of the Day:

What are you looking forward to this weekend?
