Exciting things are happening…

I’ve been quiet this week because life is just so great! I just can’t do it all, but it’s fun to pop my head back into the blog-o-sphere and say hi! Hello Dolly rehearsals started this week, we’re newly engaged (and went out to celebrate again!), and we’re prepping for our new pup, which we’ll hopefully be adopting this weekend!

Ready to attack the workweek and then the first evening of rehearsal! I met all the cast and crew, and each and every person seems super nice and vastly talented. We did a full read-through of the script.

We decided to go for our Wash Park run on Tuesday morning at 5:15 am. We’ll see if that is sustainable in the coming weeks…

Temperatures were rising, so I opted for a skirt. That night we did a full sing-through of the Hello Dolly Score.

This was my parents’ 42nd wedding anniversary! Look how cute they were! Note: They still are.

Ready for hump day! Nick’s in the process of getting moved into (formerly) my apartment and making it ours. This is the bedroom at the moment.

That night in rehearsal we worked on individual songs. I love singing legit musical theater!

I wasn’t called for rehearsal on Thursday, so Nick and I put to use the gift certificate to North Italia my parents sent us for our engagement. That evening we ate some serious food. (A post on that to come next week, probably.)

I’ll be getting another run in this afternoon (thank you, summer hours) and then I have rehearsal again tonight.

Nick and I will be getting up early tomorrow morning to embark on our puppy adoption adventure. Wish us so much luck! Hopefully I’ll have a puppy-photo-filled post on Monday for you all. 🙂
