Hello, Dolly!
I’m excited to announce I’ll be playing the role of Irene Molloy in a production of Hello, Dolly! put on by the City of Englewood’s Summer Drama program! Fun!
I’ve been wanting to get back to “legit” musical theater singing for a while, but my voice has been in an iffy spot since my last few roles have required some serious belting. This should be a welcome change and give me loads to work on in my voice lessons.
The first musical theater piece I ever worked on with my voice teacher was “Ribbons Down My Back.” I competed with it at the Florida Thespian’s Festival and won an award for best musical theater solo! I was such a baby and barely knew anything about the character I was portraying, but it’s funny to think I’ll be singing it again, like, 17 or 18 years later.
The show will make this summer another hectic one, but apparently I’m a glutton for punishment. 🙂
Wow, congratulations! What a talented lady you are-I had no idea you performed in musical theater, hope you have a blast:)

Woohoo! I love this show–I did it my sophomore year of high school and I was Dolly. I know EXACTLY what you mean about being such a baby and not really understanding the character at all, haha! I’d love a do-over. Have so much fun, congrats!
