What I Wore
And we’re back with this week’s outfits! I donned a few new items here and there, thank goodness. I’ll keep the words short and sweet and let the images speak for themselves.
MONDAY, April 3, 2017
I’d gone shopping at Forever 21 and H&M the weekend prior, and I found some super-thrifty things to help me feel like my wardrobe wasn’t completely lifeless… since I feel like I’ve been wearing the same things for the past year solid. This potato-sack dress (a term I made up myself, you’re welcome) is one of my new pieces.
- dress, Forever 21 ($15)
- brown tights, Target
- brown booties, DSW
- denim jacket, Aeropostale (this thing is 10+ years old!)
TUESDAY, April 4, 2017
Tuesday was the crappy weather day, so I went with a warm and comfy (and dark) look.
- gray top, Gap
- black skinny jeans, Gap
- black booties, DSW
WEDNESDAY, April 5, 2017
I really love this new top! It’s taupe and flowy… although I felt like I didn’t quite have the right cardigan to go with it. Next on my list is to get a few new, versatile cardigans…
- taupe tank top, Forever 21
- striped sweater, Target
- blue skinny jeans, Gap
- brown booties, DSW
- bag in the background: my running gear!
THURSDAY, April 6, 2017
It’s crazy what a new piece can do to an outfit. I got this striped sleeveless blouse and it’s made this whole outfit look brand new.
- striped blouse, H&M
- gold cardigan, Forever 21
- dark wash skinny jeans, Gap
- beige booties, Target
FRIDAY, April 7, 2017
TGIF! This week felt like a month for some reason. Anyway… here’s my outfit for the sunny, warmer weather welcoming the weekend.
- black top, H&M ($5!)
- distressed skinny jeans, Stitch Fix
- wedges, Kenneth Cole
And there you have it! Which outfit did you like best?
On the horizon: Tonight I’m going to see some of my Inspire Creative friends in Spelling Bee, Saturday I’m shooting for some down time before a birthday party that night, and then Sunday morning is the Platte River Half Marathon! I’ll be back early next week to get you a full recap. Wish me luck!
