City of Angels
Good morning, loves! I am currently waking up slowly in bed before my publisher and I go for a run down Rodeo Drive! This is the only time we can fit it in, but it’s worth it.
I’ve been working nonstop (yesterday my day started at 5 am and ended at 10:30 pm), but the photos I’m about to share makes it look like all we’re doing is living the life.
The photo above is from our morning run down Comstock Ave yesterday, just around the corner from our Beverly Hilton stay. The streets look like they’re straight out of a movie set! Also, it felt so good to run again after almost a week off.
Here’s a quick outfit photo I snapped Sunday before working our booth at the conference.
I changed for the second half of Sunday because we needed to walk to Target to get a few more items for our booth, and the 3ish miles in the sun called for… a more fresh look upon return! 😉 Here I am posing in front of a giant Mountain Living magazine cover.
Here’s a gorgeous margherita pizza I indulged in on Sunday, from the Beverly Hilton restaurant.
(The rooms aren’t really anything to brag about, but the hotel has some fascinating history: The Golden Globes are hosted here, Whitney Houston died here, Angelina Jolie jumped into the pool after winning Best Actress, etc.)
Speaking of the pool, here it is! When there is a conference session that doesn’t quite apply to us or we get a small break from networking, we sneak out to the pool to soak in the vitamin D. So blissful, even if it’s just for 10 minutes to check up on emails!
After our early run yesterday, I ate this sad breakfast in the bathroom while blowdrying my hair. The sacrifices we make to get in our miles!
Yesterday I sported my new Stitch Fix dress and some flat sandals. I learned my lesson being on my feet all day Sunday: Just be comfortable!
Here’s a quick snapshot from the Design Bloggers Conference.
Last night we enjoyed an outstanding sushi dinner at Hamasaku. We were with a lovely client and entrenched in conversation (and our glasses of Rosé Gerard Bertrand), which means I only snapped two blurry and excited-to-eat photos. Above is the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. We ordered a second round of this stuff, it was so delicious.
Here is a photo of snapper sashimi that was so fresh and flavorful. Everything at this place was divine, especially the frozen creme brûlée dessert. Out of this world!
Okay, I’ve got to get ready for a run on Rodeo.
Love the Stitch Fix dress with those sandals! Perfect for LA 🙂 Food is out of this world!
