And So Are Basics
For the return of my Outfits of the Week series, we have a lot of oldies but goodies… as well as mustard, navy, black, and gray. The week started out feeling like Spring, and ended with snow. That’s Colorado for ya. When Spring is in full swing, I don’t feel like I have much to work with.
However… there will be a new Stitch Fix post soon! Stay tuned!
Now, for this week’s looks:
MONDAY, February 19, 2017
I call this look “Peace, Love, and Bellbottoms.” I decided to sport my Gap curvy jeans from 2012 and my flowy oversized Lauren Conrad blouse (from Kohl’s) from my 30-pounds-heavier days. Whatever, it worked fine. Girl’s gotta get creative sometimes.
- jeans, Gap a million years ago
- blouse, Kohl’s
- booties, DSW
TUESDAY, February 20, 2017
Here we have a classic Vanessa look, and open-toed shoes due to a very warm forecast!
- skinny jeans, Gap
- black flowy top, Francesca’s
- wedges, hand-me-downs
WEDNESDAY, February 21, 2017
Once again, the temperatures were going to hover in the mid-60s on Wednesday so I took advantage of it with this dress/sweater/wedge look.
- Dress, from My 4th Stitch Fix: A Different Approach
- Gold cardigan, Forever 21
- Wedges, Jessica Simpson from DSW
THURSDAY, February 22, 2017
In a stark contrast to Tuesday and Wednesday’s wedge-wearing weather, Thursday decided to snow and stay in the 30s. But no fear, Stitch Fix comes to the rescue. I chose two of my favorite fix keeps ever, both from My 7th Stitch Fix: A Giant Success.
- Gray turtleneck sweater, Stitch Fix
- Black moto leggings, Stitch Fix
- Black booties (in desperate need of either polish or replacement), DSW
- Earrings, gift, unknown
FRIDAY, February 23, 2017
Friday was, once again, snowy and cold (high in the 20s), so I layered up with some old staples. Two companies monopolize my closet: Target and Gap.
- White collar button-down shirt, Target
- Mustard pullover, Target (1,000 years ago)
- Dark wash skinny jeans, Gap
- Brown booties, DSW
A Stitch Fix on the Horizon!
My Stitch Fix is scheduled to arrive today! I can’t wait! I requested fun stylish things for my upcoming trip to Los Angeles for the Design Bloggers Conference. Stay tuned!
I love the gray turtleneck. And those earrings….! ❤

Thanks! I chose that whole outfit because I was tired and wanted elastic pants, comfy-ness, and to put my air-dried hair up in a pony tail. Somehow it worked!
